Students following our pre-vet track typically choose to major in biology or chemistry, which offers a popular biochemistry track. Double majors or combinations of a major and minor can be accomplished easily with a well-planned schedule and steady academic progress.
Beyond core classes, students also take courses tailored to their interests, such as animal behavior, genetics, immunology, general microbiology, cell and molecular biology, and biochemistry II.

MMU is close to several animal hospitals and shelters and veterinary offices, making it easy to shadow veterinarians, volunteer with animals, and gain the hands-on experience essential to your post-undergraduate success.

The biology and chemistry programs challenged me in a way that I was never challenged before, and that is why I am still currently successful as a veterinary student now.
