Kristy Raine

Kristy Raine
Director of Library Services

Kristy joined the Busse Library staff in 1999 and served as reference librarian and archivist through 2017. She is the new director of library services and is responsible for all facets of library operations, as well as promoting the library’s role on campus. In addition to these duties, she also serves as the liaison to the business department and offers library instruction. Kristy received her bachelor’s degree in English from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, an MA in English from Iowa State University, and her MLIS from the University of Iowa. She serves as president of Iowans for International Adoption and is known nationally as a Grant Wood scholar, thanks to her research project on the Stone City Art Colony.
Anna Schmall
Anna Schmall
Research and Instruction Librarian
Anna has served as the evening reference librarian at Busse Library since 2012. She provides reference assistance, answers citation questions, assists with interlibrary loan, and is the library liaison to the nursing department. Anna also catalogs and maintains the library’s collection of periodicals. Working at Mount Mercy is her first library job since earning an MA in library science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She also has an undergraduate degree in English and economics from the University of Notre Dame.
Robyn Clark-Bridges

Robyn Clark-Bridges
Reference and Interlibrary Loan Librarian

Robyn joined the Mount Mercy library team in 2003 after serving within the staffs of three private, academic libraries and one public library. She completed her MLIS from the University of Iowa and her BA in English Education from Wartburg College.  She answers reference questions while coordinating interlibrary loan and is the library liaison to the portal courses and religion/philosophy/psychology departments. As a Master Gardener, she is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance of the library beds (“Robyn’s Garden”), achieved through donations and transplanting plants from her home. She is an active grassroots political volunteer.


Gregory Ennis
Academic Technology Specialist 

Greg joined the Busse Library staff in the Summer of 2019 as the D2L Brightspace Administrator and Educational Technology Specialist. In this role, Greg collaborates with faculty and students both individually and in group settings assisting with course development, design and troubleshooting. In collaboration with the IT group, he also provides classroom technology support and serves on the faculty technology committee. In previous roles, Greg has served as Director of Media Technologies, Customer Support, Technology Designer, Producer of Educational Media, and Studio Manager at other academic institutions. Greg Received a BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in Filmmaking/Cinematography and a MAR from University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in Christian Education and Historical Theology. Outside of work, Greg enjoys teaching guitar, composing music, gardening, and traveling through Europe on student art trips. 


Samantha Schwarz
Access Services Librarian

Samantha joined the Busse Library staff in 2019. She is responsible for leading collection development, cataloguing print materials, and maintaining course reserves. She also supervises the library’s student workers. In addition to these responsibilities, she serves as a liaison for the history, politics, and justice department. Samantha received her MLIS degree and a MA in History from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Before coming to Cedar Rapids, she had previously worked as a teaching assistant and at two public libraries in Wisconsin. In her free-time, she can usually be found knitting.
