Why should I get this certificate?

Manage resources essential to the operation of an organization

This certificate emphasizes leveraging the effects of operations within the supply chain to achieve business performance and objectives.

Upskill your capabilities

  • 42% of certificate students gained more responsibilities, earned a promotion, or changed careers while pursing the credential (Harvard Extension School)
  • The number of people with a post-baccalaureate certificate has increased over 50% since 2005 (Forbes)

What are the required courses?

Graduate certificates require 12-13 credit hours (four courses) and can be applied toward an MBA or MSL.

This course will provide the historical context of quality management and introduce quality management systems, including Total Quality Management (TQM), ISO, the National Baldrige Award, Lean, and Six Sigma. Guest lecturers from the community, who are specialists in quality management, will be part of this course.

This course focuses on managerial issues in manufacturing, including project management, PERT, critical path analysis, and time-cost models. The major operations management issues are quality management and control, capacity management, plant location, layout and design, production planning and scheduling, supply chain management, and inventory management.

In today’s competitive global economy, managing change effectively is more important than ever. People are the common denominator regardless of the organization's size or purpose. This course explores how leaders can affect change with an emphasis on the nature of change, resistance to change, and strategies to overcome resistance.

This course focuses on developing sustainable supply chain solutions that provide the best TCO in the industrial, consumer, and service sectors. Students will be equipped to analyze and evaluate the quality of supply chain management in any organization while ensuring it's deeply integrated into every aspect of business.
