Adjunct Faculty for Biology | Mount Mercy Campus

St. Ambrose University at the Mount Mercy University campus is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach laboratory sections of BI 150 – Basic Microbiology in our undergraduate programs for the Spring 2026 Semester. This course is taken predominantly by freshmen nursing majors as part of their major requirements. 

  • There are several sections of the BI 150 – Basic Microbiology Laboratory.  We are looking for an instructor to teach one or multiple lab sections.
    • BI 150A meets Tuesdays from 11:00 AM-1:50 PM,
    • BI 150B meets Tuesdays from 2:00-4:50 PM,
    • BI 150C meets Thursdays from 11:00 AM-1:50 PM,
    • And BI 150D meets Thursdays from 2:00-4:50 PM.

Candidates should have a doctorate or master's degree in biology, biochemistry or a related field, or be working towards completion of their degrees. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Screening of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
