Mount Mercy University is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant for Student Engagement. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to advise and create a robust intramural schedule with STANG (registered student organization), support the Director of Student Engagement with student events and activities, coordinate marketing and communications via multiple channels, serve as an administrator and update the MMU app, and assist in conducting assessments. The ideal candidate may specialize in one or more of these areas based on skill set and experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with a student activity focused background, strong communication and time management skills, and an ability to demonstrate a commitment to high academic standards.
The successful candidate must also demonstrate a willingness to support Mount Mercy’s mission as a Catholic university providing student-focused education in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy. Mount Mercy University welcomes those of different faiths and is committed to excellence in education and community service.
This assistantship requires that the successful candidate be accepted and enroll in one of Mount Mercy’s master’s degree programs. The position offers a stipend and tuition reimbursement and requires 20 hours per week at our main campus in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The assistantship does not offer on-campus housing
