Position Summary and Qualifications

Mount Mercy is currently accepting applications for the position of a full-time, 12-month, Head Spirit Squad Coach.

Primary responsibility is to provide leadership for a competitive and sideline cheer & dance program, which compete in the NAIA and Heart of America Athletic Conference. Ideal candidate must have experience coaching high school, club or college cheer and/or dance and proven ability to recruit high quality student-athletes who will compete at an NAIA Championship level.

Bachelor’s degree is preferred, however candidates with extensive and successful cheer and dance experience and an ability to demonstrate a commitment to high academic standards will be considered.

The successful candidate must also demonstrate a willingness to support Mount Mercy’s mission, which is a Catholic University providing student-focused education in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy.
