Each year Mount Mercy welcomes a new class of students, so the University's future is always just beginning. That's why we seek scholarship contributions this year and every year. There's always another student who seeks to find opportunity through education.
Mount Mercy's Scholarshare program engages volunteer business leaders to seek scholarship support and explain the economic benefits of investing in the University. Each year dozens of Mount Mercy supporters ask their colleagues and peers to contribute scholarship funds. Our thanks to Scholarshare volunteers!
Individuals who contribute $1,000 or more for scholarships may choose to honor or memorialize an individual or business with a named scholarship. Our thanks to all those who, year after year, invest in Mount Mercy students.
Establishing an endowed scholarship is a way to leave a legacy on the Hill and impact generations of Mount Mercy students. Like all endowed funds, the original contributions that create these scholarships are invested to provide steady amounts of spendable income over time. A portion of that income funds a scholarship each year.
Donors may select if they'd like their endowed scholarship to support any worthy and deserving student, or if preference should be given to a student in a particular field of study or from a specific geographic area. Our thanks to the men and women who have established endowed scholarships.
Mount Mercy is a member of the Iowa College Foundation, a joint effort by 24 private Iowa colleges and universities to raise scholarship funds. Each school provides fundraisers to assist with regional campaigns, where area businesses and corporations are asked to support ICF.
Since joining the coalition in 1960, Mount Mercy has received nearly $2 million in ICF funding.
