MMU forum to explore job opportunities in criminal justice

Mount Mercy University will host a Careers in Criminal Justice forum on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 6:30–7:30 p.m. in Flaherty Community Room, 204 Basile Hall.

Representatives from the following agencies will attend the forum: US Probation, US Marshals, Marion Police Department, 6th Judicial District Dept. of Correctional Services, Linn County Juvenile Detention, Cedar Rapids Police Department, Linn County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa State Patrol.  “This forum provides an opportunity for representatives from a variety of municipal, county, state, and federal agencies in the Cedar Rapids area to share information about their organizations,” said Chad Loes, MMU Professor of Criminal Justice.

During the forum, students will be able to ask questions regarding employment opportunities with local criminal justice organizations. The public is welcome to attend, as are students of all majors.
