Fall Faculty Series 2019Food and the Making of a People: A Biblical Perspective

Fr. Tony Adawu, PhD | Chaplain

In the Bible, food is associated with conflict, struggle, and even oppression—but also with peace, freedom, and bonds of love. This presentation critically examines the role such an association plays in how God makes a people for himself, both in terms of Israel as a nation and Christians as a worldwide community of believers. Implications for our time will be discussed.
