Alumni and friends of Mount Mercy are invited to join us on campus for an unforgettable time during Homecoming & Alumni Weekend 2024! This special event is a great opportunity to reminisce with your classmates, create new connections with current students and professors, visit our beloved campus, and hear from Dr. Todd A. Olson, President of Mount Mercy University.
Friday, September 27
50-Year Reunion, Golden Graduates & Sisters of Mercy Luncheon
Noon-1:30 PM | Betty Cherry Heritage Hall, Mount Mercy University
This luncheon will recognize the Class of 1974, Golden Graduates (all alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago), and Sisters of Mercy. There will be an opportunity for class photos and campus tours immediately following the event!
CLASSES OF HONOR: Classes of 1974, 1969, 1964, 1959, 1954, 1949, 1944, 1939, 1934 & 1929. This includes all graduates celebrating a milestone reunion from the Mount Mercy Academy, Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Junior College, and Mount Mercy College.

Whether it’s been days or decades since you’ve been back, there is always something new to see on campus! Bring your friends and family along—this is the perfect time for sharing stories, reliving fond memories, and discovering some of the exciting enhancements made around campus.
Celebration on the Hill

During this signature event, we’ll celebrate the accomplishments of our 2024 Alumni Award recipients and Athletic Hall of Fame inductees! All attendees can look forward to connecting with fellow alumni, current students, faculty and staff.

Members from the Class of 1974 and their guests are invited to attend an open house reception hosted at the home of Mary Tarbox ’74 in Cedar Rapids. All attendees are encouraged to attend Alumni Mass at Mount Mercy following the reception.

All Homecoming & Alumni Weekend events are free to alumni and their guests. We do ask that you RSVP in advance to help with planning efforts.
Mount Mercy has reserved a limited block of rooms at a discounted rate at the Hampton Inn & Suites- North and Homewood Suites. Booking your room is simple! You can book directly online or by calling:

Class and group photos can be captured at the following events: 50-Year Reunion, Golden Graduates & Sisters of Mercy Luncheon, Celebration on the Hill, and 50 Years of Softball Celebration, where we will have a professional photographer on-site.
Recommended attire for events on Friday and Saturday is business casual. Campus tours, 50 Years of Softball Celebration, and Party on the Plaza are held outdoors, be sure to dress for the occasion!
