Women in Leadership | Sr. Linda Bechen '74

You're invited to the monthly Women in Leadership speaker event at our CRST International Graduate Center on Wednesday, December 11.
We will host Sr. Linda Bechen '74, Mount Mercy's past vice-president of mission and ministry.
This event will take place in-person at our CRST International Graduate Center, located at 1650 Matterhorn Dr. NE, Cedar Rapids. Arrive at 11:30 AM for tea party including hors d'oeuvres and desserts. The presentation begins at noon with time for questions to follow.
Women in Leadership is a monthly discussion and networking event series, featuring women leaders sharing their experiences in education, nursing, business, and leadership. Anyone can attend and enjoy meeting local professionals as they recant their leadership stories.
Sister Linda Bechen was appointed vice president for mission and ministry in January 2018.
She supervised the Office of Campus Ministry, collaborated with faculty and staff to foster the institution’s mission and identity, and worked to infuse and integrate the vision of the founding Sisters of Mercy into all aspects of campus life and ministry.
Prior to her role, Sister Linda ministered as the parish life coordinator at St. Patrick in Anamosa, Iowa, and the North Linn Catholic Cluster (St. Stephen, Central City, Iowa; St. John, Coggon, Iowa; and St. Joseph, Prairieburg, Iowa). She has also ministered in several Cedar Rapids and Eastern Iowa parishes as a pastoral associate and educator.
