Aquinas Lecture | Sister Mary Angelica Neenan, OP

April 8
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Event details

You're invited to Mount Mercy University's Aquinas Lecture, featuring Sister Mary Angelica, presenting the theme "Aquinas and Holiness: The Spiritual Teaching of St. Thomas Aquinas."

Aquinas is well-known for his systematic theological treatises, as well as his commentaries on Scripture and philosophy. But how well known is his spiritual treatise? Of course, he doesn’t have a spiritual treatise. Dominican Sister, Sister Mary Angelica, has stumbled upon a kind of “Thomistic spirituality” where she draws out the spiritual teachings of the theological Master from his major works. In answer to the question, “How can I become holy?” Sister Mary Angelica will unpack Aquinas’ succinct answer: “Will it.”
