Join us for Homecoming & Alumni Weekend 2025, where Mustang pride runs deep and memories come alive.

Whether you have graduated five years ago or fifty, we can’t wait to welcome you back to the Hill. Join us for a joyful celebration of our shared history, meaningful connections, and the vibrant spirit of Mount Mercy.

This year’s festivities begin with Mercy Day, honoring our roots in the Sisters of Mercy tradition and the values that continue to guide us. From reconnecting with classmates and professors to Mustang athletics and family fun, there’s something for everyone. Let’s celebrate the past, present, and future – together.

Mercy Day | All Day | Worldwide

As we celebrate Mercy Day of September 24—honoring the Sisters of Mercy’s enduring commitment to compassion and service—we invite our alumni and friends to give back in their local communities. Whether you are volunteering at a food pantry, mentoring a colleague, or participating in a neighborhood cleanup, your service beautifully reflects the spirit of Mercy.

Friday, September 26

50-Year Class Reunion, Golden Graduates & Sisters of Mercy Luncheon 

Noon-1:30 PM | Betty Cherry Heritage Hall, Mount Mercy University

• 11:15 AM-Noon | Registration
• 12:30 PM | Program begins

This luncheon will recognize the Class of 1975, Golden Graduates (all alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago), and Sisters of Mercy. There will be an opportunity for class photos and campus tours immediately following the event!

Campus Tours

1:30 PM | Depart from Betty Cherry Heritage Hall, Mount Mercy University

Whether it’s been days or decades since you’ve been back, there is always something new to see on campus! Bring your friends and family along—this is the perfect time for sharing stories, reliving fond memories, and discovering some of the exciting enhancements made around campus.

Celebration on the Hill

5:00-7:30 PM | Hennessey Recreation Center, Mount Mercy University

• 5:00-6:00 PM | Cocktails, Appetizers & Music from the MMU Jazz Band 
• 6:00 PM | Program Begins 

During this signature event, we’ll celebrate the accomplishments of our 2025 Alumni Award recipients and Athletic Hall of Fame inductees! All attendees can look forward to connecting with fellow alumni, current students, faculty and staff.

Get ready for an afternoon of Mustang fun for the whole family!

Join us for a classic cookout, exciting family-friendly activities, and plenty of Mustang action. This year, be among the first to cheer on our newest athletic team during an intra-squad football scrimmage! After the game, head down to the field for a special meet-and-greet with the players and coaches.

Alumni Mass

4:00 PM | Chapel of Mercy, Busse Center, Mount Mercy University

All faiths welcome. During mass, we’ll reflect on Mount Mercy’s mission, pray for our community members, and honor classmates who have passed.
