DAVENPORT, Iowa – After a 13-day break for the holiday, the Mustangs returned to action for one last game of 2018. On Friday night, the Mustangs traveled to take on the Fighting Bees of Saint Ambrose University in a non-conference matchup. Battling an early first quarter deficit, the Mustangs were never able to recover falling 82-64. Wrapping up 2018, the Mustangs carry a 4-9 overall record into the new year.To start the game, the Fighting Bees would strike first sprinting out to a 12-3 lead after going on a 6-0 run.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Mustangs took one last road trip before the holiday break to compete in a Heart of America Conference matchup against the Crusaders of Evangel University. After breaking a seven-game losing streak with a non-conference win Wednesday at home, the Mustangs were hopeful to keep it rolling on the road. However, the Crusaders came out of the gates defending their home court and the Mustangs could not keep up as they would fall 88-57 to move to 0-7 in the conference and 4-8 overall.To start the game, the two teams would joust back and forth for the lead.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Looking to snap a seven-game losing streak, the Mustangs hosted the Hornets of Harris-Stowe State University, a team that had beaten them by 23 less than a month ago. Seeking revenge, the Mustangs battled hard all 40 minutes to outlast the Hornets 72-65.

DAVENPORT, Iowa - This weekend the Mount Mercy Mustangs competed in their first indoor invitational of the season at Saint Ambrose University. The Mustangs competed in several events throughout the meet. No team scores were recorded as all athletes competed as individuals. While many personal records were broken, the highlight of the meet was Jon Andersen (SR/Cedar Rapids, Iowa) taking home first place in the Men's 3000 Race Walk (14:39.61).

OLATHE, Kan. – The Mustangs were on the road once again this weekend as they took on the No. 6 Pioneers of MidAmerica Nazarene University. Putting up a good fight in the first half, the Mustangs would take the lead three times and force many ties before the Pioneers took control in the second half.

Mount Mercy University’s student Enactus team will host the fifth annual holiday Market at the Mount, Saturday, Dec. 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Hennessey Recreation Center Gymnasium, located on the university’s campus. The student-organized event will bring more than 70 local vendors to campus.
