About

Clarissa is a graduate from the University of Iowa where she received her BA in psychology. She is beginning her second year at Mount Mercy University for a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.

In her teen years, her interest for the mental health field became strong. Since then, she has made it her goal to become a therapist.

Clarissa has always had a passion for serving her community. Now as a student therapist, she can combine her passion of mental health care and her community. She believes that therapy is meant to be a safe and supportive space for everyone, no matter what challenges one is experiencing. Clarissa strives to provide respect, kindness, and empathy to all those around her. Clarissa is excited to start working with students.

Outside of the therapy room, Clarissa enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dogs. Her favorite ways to pass time and relax are yoga, running, and baking sweets.
