About

Thaddeus Ennen, a baritone, is a native of northern Iowa. As a young artist in Des Moines Metro Opera, he performed the role of Coroner in Porgy and Bess as well as Jess in the world premiere of A Thousand Acres.

Thaddeus is currently finalizing his doctorate of music at Louisiana State University. He holds a master's degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a bachelor's of music from Simpson College.

His past performing roles include Opéra Louisiane; Des Moines Metro Opera; Cedar Rapids Opera; Central City Oper; Santa Fe Opera; Pensacola Opera; and Knoxville Opera. Thaddeus is equally comfortable on the opera stage, in recital, and in concert. In addition to performing, he maintains a private voice studio in Cedar Rapids and online.
