Endowment

One of the most valuable gifts you can give is the gift of education. Supporting an endowed scholarship fund is one of the most enduring ways to impact the lives of students at Mount Mercy University.

Today, Mount Mercy is blessed with more than 230 endowed funds—designated by donors for scholarships and other purposes.

Our endowment value at the end of Fiscal Year 2023 stood at $39.3 million. Annual income generated by the endowment provides a continuous and reliable source of income to support our strategic initiatives.

The vast majority of our endowed funds are scholarships, which are awarded every year to students who meet the qualifications specified by donors. Any excess of the total return over the scholarship payout amount is retained in the endowment, helping the fund grow over time and enabling its future payout to keep pace with inflation.

Other endowed funds provide funding for specific curriculum, on-campus programs like Enactus, annual lectures, new technology and facilities, etc.

Your endowment can support what matters most to you, both now and for generations to come.  Support for endowment is an important investment in the success of Mount Mercy and our students!
